Barber-on-Barber Shooting at Fargo Shop Leads to Arrest

A tense dispute at VIP Barber Shop and Salon in Fargo turned violent on Saturday evening, resulting in one barber being shot in the leg. The incident occurred at 745 45th St S, and Fargo Police were alerted just before 7 p.m.

According to witnesses present during the altercation, two barbers engaged in a heated argument that escalated quickly. One of the barbers ended up shooting the other in the leg before calling 911 to report the incident and fleeing the scene.

The shooting took place near the Fargo-West Fargo border, prompting a swift response from both police departments. Officers were seen patrolling the area shortly after the initial call.

Fargo Police located the suspect, 23-year-old Demarcos Rapley, at his apartment on the 4000 block of 34th Ave S around 8 p.m. Rapley was arrested and is facing charges of Felony Aggravated Assault with a Weapon and Felony Reckless Endangerment.

The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The response to the incident involved Fargo Police, West Fargo Police, North Dakota Highway Patrol, Fargo Fire, and Sanford Ambulance.
